Fifteen year old boy admited to the University of Cambridge

Fifteen year old teen from the English county of Surrey entered Cambridge University, becoming the youngest student at that institution over the past two centuries. Arran Fernandez will attend classes at the Fitzwilliam College (one of the colleges at Cambridge) in October 2010.
Arran Fernandez began to study mathematics under the guidance of his father in early childhood. The boy studied at home preparing for university Arran Fernandez said that in the future he would like to solve one of the so-called Millennium Challenge – the hypothesis Riemann zeta-functions.

Before 15-year-old Fernandez youngest student at Cambridge University was 14-year-old William Pitt in 1773.

Cambridge University – one of the oldest educational institutions in the UK and one of the most prestigious universities in the world. Cambridge belongs to the Russell group – the community of 20 major universities in the UK. Among the famous graduates of Cambridge – mathematician, physicist and astronomer Sir Isaac Newton, physicist Stephen Hawking, astrophysicist Martin John Rice and many other famous scientists
