Not enough connection between the use of mobile phones and brain cancer
Too early to relax forCell phone users who are worried about their health.
A major global study of the connection between the use of mobile phones and two kinds of brain cancer have not found strong enough evidence of this connection. The outcome of a study published in the International Journal of Epidemiology
10-year study involving 13,000 people found that mobile phone use does not increase the risk of brain cancer.
Earlier studies found that cell phone use may increase the risk of occurrence of brain cancer. However, the authors of a new study conducted by scientists of Japan, Great Britain, Canada, Germany and France,, said, the radiation is not directly connected with the formation of tumors.
Yet, in the course of the study some factors have not been studied, such as the use of hand free devices and storage of the phone close to your body – in your pocket or around the pillow.
The authors say that there still is a need to further explore the data to be able to say with confidence whether there is a link between mobile use and brain cancer, since 2000, when the study began, number of mobile phones users has increased significantly.
