Motorola has developed a square smartphone. Photos and some characteristics of the device were published in the Brazilian website tehnobloga Gizmodo.
It is reported that the model called FlipOut-based mobile OS Android 2.1 can be presented in June 2010. In this edition, citing an anonymous source, says that the cost of a smartphone in Brazil amounted to 699 reais.
The smartphone will be running interface Motoblur, which will be installed on top of Android 2.1.It will be available in three colors – black, pink and green.
According to previously published unofficial specifications, FlipOut, also known under the code name of Ruth, will be equipped with a screen with a diagonal of 2.8 inch, 3.1-megapixel camera module and GPS.
FlipOut would remotely resemble Smartphone Microsoft Kin One, which is also made in the form of a square slider. However, judging from photographs, the Motorola mechanism nomination keyboard will be carried out otherwise than in Kin.
This is not the first phone Motorola, executed not in the traditional rectangular design. So at the end of 2008 the company introduced the Aura phone with a round screen.
