Attorney General meets the Police, Opposed the new Immigration Law in Arizona

The chief of police of several cities from Arizona, Texas and California agreed to a meet with U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder. Senior police officers and Holder will discuss  a new immigration law, which will take effect in Arizona on July 1.

the police departments Representatives believe that the new law will destroy the relationship between law enforcement agencies and the population and will take away policemen self-confidence, which they won for a long period of time.Meeting between police and Eric Holder will be held on Wednesday, May 26.

The legislation, which has already been signed by the Governor of Arizona, the state police will have to check the documents of all persons in whom they suspect of being  illegal migrant. In the absence of documents suspicious person can be detained and then deported.

Critics of the law believe that it creates the basis for many forms of discrimination, because, obviously, under suspicion in the first place will get immigrants from Mexico. Mexican authorities have criticized the law.

Several U.S. cities have announced a boycott of Arizona: they withdrew from visiting officials of any of the activities in Arizona, and also advised local officials not to enter into contracts with contractors from Arizona, and if possible, to review the contracts that are already signed.
