Almost a quarter of U.S. households using only mobile phones
Almost a quarter of U.S. households do not use ordinary telephone lines, preferring to mobile phones.
Specialists of the National Center for Health Statistics (National Center for Health Statistics, NCHS) came to these conclusions by examining the data 21 375 households.
“One of four U.S. households (24.5 percent) had only wireless phones (also known as mobile or cell phones) during the second half of year 2009 – a growth of 1.8 percent from the first half of 2009 year “- said the report investigators.
“In addition, one out of every seven American homes (14.9 percent), despite the presence of a landline, it is still always or almost always used wireless phones,” – according to the report.
