Adobe regulators filed a formal complaint to Apple
U.S. Department of Justice and the International Trade Commission are interested in Apple policy with regard to technology Flash. According to BusinessWeek, their attention was drawn to the issue of appeal filed by the developer of this technology by Adobe.
Anti monopolists going to check Apple into the legality of the requirements of the company to use only its own tools to develop applications for smart phones iPhone, iPad tablet and players iPod touch. As writes The New York Post quoting an anonymous source, the two agencies currently determine who would hear the case.
Adobe blames Apple createing closed environment applications that will only work on devices running operating system iPhone OS. Previously, it was announced that the latest version of the agreement with Apple developers prohibits use of tools for writing Flash applications for mobile devices company.
It is expected that regulators will decide on the complaint within a week. In this case the fact of its acceptance for consideration will not mean automatic admission of guilt Apple.
In late April, Apple chief Steve Jobs has issued an official letter which explained the lack of support for Flash technology into mobile devices, Apple. According to Jobs, Flash prevents developers to write “good” applications for the iPhone and iPad, because it limits their use only those features that are supported and other platforms.
