Schwarzenegger announced its readiness to run for U.S. presidency
The Governor of California Arnold Schwarzenegger declared that “without doubt” have put forward his candidacy for president, if the Americans changed the law. According to MSNBC, this announcement by the Governor sounded on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.
Talk show host asked the governor, who is originally from Austria, he would run for the presidency, if the legislature approved a constitutional amendment that would participate in presidential elections to U.S. citizens born outside the country.
California Governor replied in the affirmative, but added that such a turn of events seems to be unlikely.
This is not the first time Arnold Schwarzenegger acknowledged in presidential ambitions. For example, in 2008, when the TV show 60 Minutes on CBS Governor of California was asked the same question, he admitted that the White House could be new to him “a great goal.”
To the U.S. Constitution was amended, requires that its project was first approved by two-thirds of the House of Representatives and Senate and then ratified by three fourths of the legislatures of the states.
