Service OnLive will start in the U.S. in June

Service OnLive, which should save gamers from having to install games on your computer, will be launched in the U.S. June 17, 2010. As wrote GameSpot, the creators of this OnLive told a press conference at GDC 2010 in San Francisco. The subscription fee for using this service will amount to 14.95 dollar a month. No information about the timing of launch of service in Europe yet.
Service users will have to pay not only for access to OnLive, but for games that they can buy or rent. The first 25 thousand people who subscribe to OnLive in advance, will be able to use the service free for three months.

OnLive will be available to users as Windows, and the owners of Mac OS. We gamers will be personal profile page, access to voice chat and free demo versions of games. At the time of launch OnLive Americans will be 20 games available, and by the end of 2010 their number will increase to 50-60.

Among the games to which access will be available through OnLive, developers called Mass Effect 2, Dragon Age: Origins, Assassin’s Creed II, Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands, Borderlands and Metro, 2033.

Service OnLive to broadcast the image on the screen the player in the video stream format. Teams entered gamer are transferred to the server. One of the main advantages OnLive its creators call an opportunity to play new games on computers, the power which would not allow them to run.

At GDC 2009 told reporters about the device Micro Console, which should allow the broadcast video stream to the TV screen to play console games without the console. On plans for Micro Console developers have promised to tell later in 2010.
