Obama Lost Bet To Canadian Prime Minister
Obama Loses Beer Bet With Canadian Prime Minister
It looks as if President Obama has another “beer summit” to organize.
Heading into Sunday’s gold medal men’s hockey matchup between the U.S and Canada, the president made a friendly beer wager with Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper.
With Canada downing the U.S. 3-2 in overtime to take the gold medal, the president now has to make good on his promise to deliver a case of Molson Canadian to the prime minister.
According to the “Washington Post,” in an earlier statement the White House said the Pennsylvania-brewed Yuengling was the president’s beer of choice if the U.S. took the gold.
No word yet on when Obama will make good on his Molson beer run.
Last year, the president made headlines for the so-called “beer summit” involving Harvard University professor Henry Louis Gates and Cambridge Police Sergeant James Crowley.
Obama invited the men to the White House to settle a racial profiling dispute over a round of beers.
