Guus Hiddink decided to lead the team in Turkey
Russia’s national football team coach Guus Hiddink has agreed to lead the national team of Turkey. This was officially declared by the Turkish Football Federation.
Earlier in February Hiddink officially announced that it would not renew its contract with Russian Football Union after June 30, when it expires. The decision coach took after a meeting with the new head of the RFU Sergei Fursenko.
Hiddink will sign a two-year contract with the Football Federation of Turkey, which will operate from 1 August 2010 to July 31, 2012. In particular, the coach will lead the team to the European football championship in 2012, which will be held in Ukraine and Poland.
