Obama wrote a personal letter to North Korean leader

President Barack Obama wrote a personal letter to North Korean leader Kim Jong-llu (Kim Jong Il) in an attempt to push Pyongyang for talks on nuclear disarmament, said Tuesday the State Department spokesman.

The letter was delivered to North Korean officials last week the U.S. special representative for North Korea, Stephen Bosworth (Stephen Bosworth) during his visit to Pyongyang to resume negotiations stopped.

The official, who gave the information on condition of anonymity, declined to describe the contents of the letter

He said only that North Korea has a choice: to remain in isolation and further, or return to negotiations and to abandon nuclear weapons program.
