Obama: for the preservation of peace requires justice and the possibility

President Barack Obama on Thursday, when he was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, said in his speech that, for the preservation of peace requires respect for human rights and economic opportunities for people.

The leader of the United States also said that sometimes war is necessary, but peace is achievable, subject to several conditions. Obama said that the international community should impose severe sanctions on countries such as Iran and North Korea, which pass all bounds in its nuclear tests. The same applies to Darfur and Burma, where civil rights are violated.

Obama believes that governments must ensure respect for fundamental human rights and provide economic opportunities and security of their citizens. The U.S. president said that the real world – not only freedom from fear but also freedom from want.
