New Jersey Senate approved a bill on counting calories, New Jersey Senate approved a bill under which the fast-food restaurants should indicate the energy value of food.
The bill, for which 22 votes to 16, requires the networks of restaurants that have at least 20 points in the country, indicate the energy values of foods and beverages on menus and signs the access windows.
Similar measures have been taken in Philadelphia and New York.
Supporters of the bill say it will allow people to choose healthy food.
But restaurant owners say that this is just a waste of money.
