Miss World-2009 was representative of Gibraltar

Miss World-2009 was representative of Gibraltar contest of Miss World 2009, held in Johannesburg on Saturday, won the representative Gibraltar Kaiane Aldorino, reported Agence France-Presse.

Aldorino considered one of the favorites of the competition, 23-year-old beauty contest in the preliminary round was awarded the title Miss Beach.

The winner went to the crown of Miss World 2008 from Russia Ksenia Sukhinova, which won the title in the 58-th international beauty contest in Johannesburg, December 13, 2008.

On stage under the African motifs and removal of 112 flags of the participating countries presented the best beauties in the world. Russia was represented by Xenia Shipilova. Then there was the traditional “screening” of girls and the announcement of Miss Gibraltar winner.

Contender for the crown arrived in Republic of South Africa on 14 November and participated in several events, including travel on safari and receptions in the main tourist resorts of the country.
