1. 1790. The U.S. Congress moved from New York, New York, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
2. 1865. 13 Amendment of the Constitution officially abolished the institution of slavery.

10. 1988. President Mikhail Gorbachev arrived in New York with a two-day visit. This was his last trip to the United States as head of the country.
11. 1999. At Fort Gibson, Oklahoma, 13-year-old Seth Trickey (Seth Trickey) opened fire at the school, where he studied. As a result, injured 4 persons. The reasons for this act remain unclear, because at school he was considered a good student, popular with classmates, and seemed never to have been no problems with the psyche.
