Australia proposes to establish a new international organization
Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd said that the state must form ATP greater regional integration in order to address climate change, as well as other problems urgently requiring solution.
According to “k2kapital”, on Friday, K. Rudd spoke at an international conference, which discussed the plan to create by 2020 the Asia-Pacific community. For the first time this idea was proposed by the Australian Prime Minister in June 2008. Held in Sydney conference brought together for discussions, official government officials and experts from some 20 countries, including Japan.
K. Rudd in his speech noted that the region is in the process of dynamic economic growth, but at the same time, the region faces a number of tasks that go beyond the boundaries of one country. These include the fight against global warming, economic globalization and security.
K. Rudd called for the establishment of a framework with a broader scope to involve them in the U.S., Japan, China, Russia and India.
Referring to the proposal, Prime Minister of Japan, Yukio Hatoyama of the establishment of the East Asian Community, K. Rudd said that this idea will discuss the successful formation of new regional framework.
