A rare copy of the book by Edgar Allan Poe was sold for 662,500 dollars

A rare copy of the first book by Edgar Allan Poe (Edgar Allan Poe) was sold for 662,500 dollars at auction in New York.

At Christie’s auction expected that the book, “Tamerlane and Other Poems» (Tamerlane and Other Poems) will be priced from 500000 to 700000.

Collection of poems in 40 pages was issued in 1827. In a book shortly after moving to Boston, at the very beginning of his career.

His name is not even mentioned in the book. The author stated Bostonian (Bostonets).

It is known that there were only 12 copies of the book.
