Capital newspaper The Washington Post closes all the correspondent’s offices in the USA. This measure is caused by aspiration to cut down expenses. In circulation to employees editor-in-chief Markus Brokli has noted, that today in conditions of reduction of resources and strengthening’s of a competition for the newspaper time has come to concentrate on the main mission – illumination of events in Washington.
Representations in New York, Los Angeles and Chicago will be closed up to the end of year. Earlier have stopped work of branch in Denver and Miami. At the edition, the truth, remain 15 more foreign correspondent’s offices.
As representatives of edition have informed, for first three quarters of current year of loss of the newspaper have exceeded 166 million dollars.
