The number of crimes against homosexuals and because of religious hatred has considerably grown

In 2008 year the number of crimes against representatives of nonconventional orientation and because of religious hatred, according to data of FBI, promulgated in Monday has sharply grown.

As a whole, the number of crimes because of hatred has increased for 2 percent. However the number of crimes because of the hatred caused by sexual orientation, has grown for 11 percent, and quantity of crimes because of religious hatred has raised for 9 percent.

The number of crimes because of racial hatred was reduced less than to 1 percent.

 Among all categories of crimes because of hatred, about one third make certificates of vandalism and damage of the property, 30 percent – intimidations, and 30 percent – attacks on people.
