Americans throw away about 40 percent of food

According to a recent study published in the journal PLoS ONE, significantly increased the amount of food that Americans throw away.
It turns out that the residents of the U.S. emit 40 percent of the country’s food.
According to preliminary data, daily one American emits about 1400 calories.
